How We Began

Guardian Interlock Systems has been the leading manufacturer of quality Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock devices for over 20 years. Our products ensure safety and help people get back on the road. We have founded our business on providing technologically innovative and reliable products.

We began our business in 1985, when we introduced the first Interlock device in the state of California. Since then, our company has expanded into 26 states, with more than 150 company—owned and franchise service centers. And our business continues to grow.

In addition, we have participated in every study that has been conducted on the effectiveness of Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Devices (BAIIDs).

Working with state officials across the country to develop administrative and
technical specifications for their interlock programs.
Conducting orientation programs at state judges' conferences.

Success

Our Responsible Driver Program has monitored nearly 200,000 DUI offenders in more than 26 states, and our technology has been the subject of every independent study of BAIIDs. Each study has shown a substantial reduction of repeat DUI offenses among Guardian participants.
